I am Jim Burns, Chief Information Officer for the State of Alabama. My
office and the ISD (Information Services Division) are responsible for a
broad range of information technologies for the State of Alabama from wide
area networking to telephone service and the state web sites. I’d like to
encourage all Alabama citizens to visit our portal at

access to your government. You can find out about the various functions of
state government as well as electronically process licenses and other
government forms.
For state employees, we provide everything from protection against
